Stunning vintage French turquoise and copper choker necklace is a delicate yet substantial piece featuring fused copper plaques of three discs each onto which are mounted prong set turquoise cabochons that are then encircled by a twisted silver metal rope.  These trefoil plaques are linked together and drape beautifully.  The closure is a gold tone spring ring that looks to be a replacement as it is of an entirely different metal.  The entire necklace measures 16 inches in length or choker length and is in very good condition with no missing stones. The back side of the necklace shows traces of gold color at the edges indicating that this necklace was likely finished with a gold coating when new but that coating is now worn off.  Marked only “France”, this is an unusual and very unique and beautiful piece of vintage jewelry.  It's age is not certain, but our best estimate is sometime between 1915 and the mid 1930s.
