Mexican Silver Vintage Sphere Earrings
Great looking vintage Mexican silver earrings are very dimensional and a bit abstract with two spheres setting
atop a modernist swirl. The background is floral in theme although not realistic but more of an impression. Both
the spheres and the floral background are enclosed hollow sterling silver with the spheres resembling much of the Mexican
“grape” jewelry of the 1940s. The spheres measure 10mm in diameter and the entire earring is 1 1/4”
at it's longest points and 3/4” wide. They are screw-back earrings marked “Silver Mexico” which dates
them to the pre-Eagle stamping era which started in 1948. They are in excellent condition with one minor ding on the
side of one sphere.
