Mexican Silver Turquoise Bird Earrings
Vintage Mexican Silver earrings at their finest, these birds are older creations featuring a stylized bird resting
her head In her feathers. The bird is made of sterling silver intaglio or raised metal set on a flat background and
includes a lovely bezel set turquoise cabochon “eye”. The back of the piece reads “Mexico Silver”
and thus dates the piece before the Eagle stamping system was instituted in 1948. A great and artistically rendered
piece of early Mexican silver, this piece has a screw-back setting and measures 1” by 3/4”. It is in very
good condition with a nice patina.
