Los Castillos Married Metals Reversable Pendant
The Los Castillo studio created the "Metales Casados" married metals style
of combining copper, brass and silver. This piece is a reversible pendant on a heavy double curb silver chain with turquoise
and lapis inlay. One side of the pendant depicts a bird motif while the other displays a worrior's profile in costume.
The following marks are on the bail: Mexican Eagle stamp #3, "Mexico, Metales Casados, Sterling 925 Taxco Mex" and
the designer's initials "FLC" in the center. These markings were made between the years 1947 and 1979 and this piece
dates from the late 1940's to early 50's. The chain is stamped "Sterling" measuring 29.5" long.
