White Co. Art Deco Vintage Filigree Cross
Very pretty 1920s religious Christian cross
necklace is done in the lavaliere style with a pendant that drops down from ornate filigree metal work. The cross is
mounted on a mother-of-pearl plaque that is prong set on an ornate backing piece. A lovely piece of religious jewelry
that is hard to find, the pendant is 1 1/8” long by 3/4” wide and the chain and filigree cross-piece measure about
18” long. The back of the pendant is marked with the maker's stamp and reads “White Co. 1/20 14K G.F.”.
The wWhite Manufacturing Co. Inc. produced rolled gold plate pieces and research shows that they were in operation during
the period between 1931 through 1950 although they may have been in business earlier than these dates.
