This is a lovely Victorian engraved rose gold filled picture locket c. 1880s.  The front has engraved flowers entwining on a smooth 10k rolled gold top.  The shape is a square with steeply arched top and bottom making this an unusual style.  It has the original gold filled bale that indicates that this locket was once paired with a book chain type of chain.  The back side is also rolled gold plate with a faintly scalloped pinstripe design.  The locket opens on the side to accommodate two photos.  Inside there is a heart stamped with the makers mark and gold content reading “FMCo  10k  1-20  G.F.” indicating that the locket was made by the Finberg Manufacturing Co. established in 1888 in Attleboro, MA.  Measuring 1 3/8” long by 7/8” wide this 120 year old antique locket is in excellent condition.  SORRY.
