      This wonderful shiny goldtone choker necklace is well designed with three segments of hand set faux opal stones, sapphire blue rhinestones and clear chaton rhinestones embellished by faux pearls.  The small size of the stones and the ribbon-like setting give a rich look to this pretty necklace.  The three segments are linked together and hang from a chain with a fold-over clasp.  The styling is a classic sweet look of the early to mid 1950s period and resembles choker necklaces produced by Coro although this necklace is not marked.  There is a small flaw, a bit of chain that is soldered to the links on the left side of the picture.  This leads us to suspect that this is a flaw that kept the manufacturer from stamping this necklace with their mark.  Regardless, the extra half link is not very noticeable and does not interfere with the wearing of the necklace.  Measures 14 1/2” around with the largest segment measuring 1 1/8” tall by 1 3/8” wide.
