This is a gorgeous hand carved ivory bracelet of two dragons who meet at the center. This bracelet was purchased in Santo Domingo in 1996 as a gift and sold as part of an estate.  I do not know how old the piece was when it was purchased.  The design of the dragon is the same as that of an antique bracelet circa 1900.  The carving on this bracelet is unbelievable in it's detail.  The dragons have snake-like scales as the body undulates on the thin base.  The eyes are marked with tiny dots which I have seen on similar hand carved ivory pieces. This bracelet is in excellent unworn condition.  Inside of bracelet measures 2 1/2" diameter and 1/4" thick. When viewed flat, the distance from the inner ring to the outside of the dragon's body measures 1/2".   See more pictures below.  SORRY. THIS ITEM HAS ALREADY BEEN SOLD!
