Compacts - Gorham Repoussé Sterling Vintage Compact - SOLD!
Stunning and lush repoussé roses decorate the center of this beautiful heavy weighted
compact circa the 1940s. American silver manufacturer Gorham was well known for quality silver products as can be seen
in this very special compact. The roses are framed by a background field of simpler foliage, then edged with ornate
scrolls at the edges, this compact's top is sculpted beautiful with a raised center that slopes down, then raises again gently
at the edges. Marked "Gorham Sterling 325", the compact has a replaceable well for powder. The mirror
is in good condition with some tiny speckling, but no large flaws. The puff is a replacement from Elizabeth Arden and
the powder inside has been lightly used. This is one gorgeous vintage silver compact measuring 3" in diameter.
The edge measures 1/2" deep and weighs 5.3 oz. (151grams). SORRY. THIS ITEM HAS ALREADY BEEN SOLD!
