Mexican Silver Bracelet
Great piece from the 1940s, this bracelet has six open silver plaques of silver, each holding
an oval green cabochon of Mexican jade, or dyed onyx, set in a collet setting with twisted silver rope around the base.
The fold-over V-clasp is marked with a stamp "Made in Mexico - Sterling", a mark used before the Mexican Eagle system
was established in 1948. Writen in English, this piece was likely made for export to the United States. Each plaque
has a lovely rounded engraved design suggestive of the Aztec motifs popular at the time. The plaques measure 1 1/4"
long by 1" wide. The entire bracelet is 7 3/4" long not including the clasp. It is in excellent condition.
