     Just so beautiful, this lovely lavalier pendant is circa 1900 and has the flowing lines of Art Nouveau jewelry with the simplicity of the jewelry found in the Arts and Crafts style.  Made of 12k gold, this openwork design has a bezel set 4mm amethyst and a prong set seed pearl at its center.  Most lavalier's of this era are quite fine with much tiny detail.  Yet this piece has the bold lines and heavier metal usually found in silver jewelry of the Arts and Crafts style, making this an unusual and beautiful piece.  An 18" 1/20 14k gold replacement chain has been added to this stunning piece.
