François Topaz Rhinestone Brooch
Spectacular and rare 1950s brooch by François, the mark used by Coro for high end costume
jewelry from the late 1930s. This piece is from the 1950s and features a large faceted topaz colored clear backed rhinestone
held in place by prongs of 12k gold plated flowers. The flowers are nicely textured with realistic foliage and each
frond ends in a prong set topaz or citrine colored rhinestone. This star shaped brooch is a great collectors item.
There is some wear to the metal parts but otherwise in good condition, it measures 2 1/2" in diameter. The "François"
mark is on a cartouch on the back of the brooch.
