This choker necklace is beautiful, both in its color and its style.  The gorgeous blue faceted stones are really made of plastic and so they are light and comfortable to wear.  Each square cut stone is framed in a Deco-like frame and chained together to drape around the throat much like a Cleopatra style necklace.  The 14 karat gold plated chain is a very pretty compliment to the blue stone.  The links form a chain to go around the neck ending in a hook type of closure.  Although the styling is definitely Art Deco with it's geometric shapes and delicate frame, this piece is from a later period, the 1960s.  It is in excellent condition and measures 15".  Each stone is 3/4" long by 1/2" wide.
