Bartek Vintage Music Box Charm Bracelet
Fantastic collectors item, this music box charm bracelet was purchased as the last of
the Bartek inventory. The bracelet was made for a jewelry show in Paris, France in the mid 1950s. The theme comes
from the song in the 1956 movie "Around the World in 80 Days" which won 5 Oscar Awards including Best Picture.
The charm has a hot air baloon on the front with the name "La Coquette" printed on the baloon face. The charm
is marked "Swiss Made" and both the charm and the chain are plated with 22 carat gold. The charm is a wind-up
manual music box that plays the theme song from the movie. These delightful charms came from a supplier who purchased
them directly from Mr. Bartek when he was closing down his factory in Wallingford, CT in the mid to late 1980s. According
to our supplier, Mr. Bartek sold jewelry wholesale to stores and was the only owner of Bartek Jewelry. He designed many
high end pieces that were very popular in the 1950s with his jewelry featured on the cover of Vogue magazine. Foxfire
is fortunate to have purchased some of the last of the Bartek inventory. The music charm is available hanging on a bracelet.
The bracelet chain is 7" long. All chains are 22 carat gold plated and all are in new, never worn condition.
The charms are 1 1/2" long by 1 1/8" wide by 7/16" deep.
