This style of necklace has always been a classic since it is so flattering to the neckline.  Amazingly, the style is currently experiencing a revival in popularity since one just like it was worn in the movie "Sex And The City".  This Egyptian styled gold tone choker from the 1950s has 37 fluted bars, each 3/4" in length, that hang from a chain.  Each bar is ribbed with a round cupped tip.  The necklace has an adjustable spring ring closure and measures 14 3/8" of the decorative flutes plus 2 1/2" of chain.
