This vintage string of French Jet black faceted beads has such a beautiful clasp that you may want to wear the clasp in the front.  The strand is made of faceted black glass beads known as French jet that measures 21" in length.  The clasp is made of gold-tone filagree with a diamond shaped rhinestone embedded in a central black glass oval.  Unmarked, jewelry of this sort was part of the Victorian revival style that was very popular in the 1940s.  SORRY.
