Victorian Revival Gold Filled Locket
This is a wonderful piece of sentimental jewelry circa 1940s with great styling in its
hard-to-find octagonal shape. The front has both engraved flowers and fine vertical lines that form a striped pattern
separated by a scalloped edge diagonal band. The locket opens to reveal two spaces for pictures of loved ones.
There is a gold-foil paper backing that is exceptionally clean and looks as though it has never been used. The locket
is stamped on both the inside and the chain with the words "Gold Filled 12k 1/20". It hangs from a pretty
bail on an 18 inch gold filled chain. View of the inside:
