Rings - Victorian Gold Band - SOLD!
This beautiful Victorian gold band has a ring of raised flowers encircling the outside
of the band on a darker stippled background. The ring has five markings on the inside of the band that give some proof
of it's origin. Two of the marks that can clearly be seen are the initials E.V. and the anchor symbol turned sideways
indicating Birmingham, England as the country of origin. The "E.V." initials indicate a shop or designer that
is known to have produced gold jewelry in Birmingham in 1878. Unfortunately, the other symbols are too difficult to
read but are stamped within the octagon shape used from 1830 through the beginning of the 1900s. The ring tests positive
as being greater than 16 carat gold and measures 3/8" wide (5 mm). It's weight is 0.10 ounces and it fits an American
size 5 to 5 1/2, U.K. J 1/2, or Japanese 9. SORRY, THIS ITEM HAS ALREADY BEEN SOLD!
