Well made oval pendant or pin from the 1950s-60s with a channel set chunk of abalone as the center piece.  Around this is oxydized silver with fine wire scrollwork, silver beads and twisted rope boarder.  Nicely done, this piece has a marking that is difficult to read.  It is clear on one side but not impressed hard enough on the other side to read.  What can be seen are the marks  "Sterling IAPP Mex  with eagle mark 197" and another symbol beneith the number.  No matter, it is attractive enough to stand on its own.  Measures 1 5/8" long by 1 3/8" wide.  SORRY.
