Bracelets - Laffi Silver Bracelet from Peru Modernist - SOLD!
This bracelet was created by Peru modernist designer Graziela Laffi, an Italian
designer who worked in Peru. Her designs are chiefly of South American Indian symbols as is seen in this fabulous piece.
The bracelet consists of six panels of darkened beaten silver forming the base for six figures. Three of the figures
are snakes, the others are a dog-like creature, a bird and a warrior in costume. Each figure has a small bezel set green
turquoise cabachon eye. Made in the 1940's, Laffi was a creative designer whose work makes use of the rich history and
art of the natives of her adopted homeland. Laffi jewelry is highly creative and makes use of elaborate symbolic figures.
The sterling silver bracelet is marked "Peru, Laffi, 925". It measures 7 1/8" long (not including the
clasp) by 1 1/4" high and has an extra half panel that is plain on which the push clasp is mounted. The silver
has a rich patina and can be polished by it's new owner if so desired. The original safety chain has had it's safety
catch replaced. SORRY. THIS ITEM HAS ALREADY BEEN SOLD!
